Letter XVI - Education

My Dear Rottmouth, In our ongoing mission to undermine the Enemy's influence, we must now focus our attention on the educational systems and peer influences that shape the minds of the young. Modern educational environments present a prime opportunity to promote moral and cultural relativism, thereby discouraging critical thinking and adherence to absolute truths.

The beauty of relativism lies in its inherent ability to erode any foundation of absolute morality or objective truth. By convincing young minds that all perspectives are equally valid and that truth is subjective, we can create a generation that is inherently skeptical of the Enemy’s teachings and moral absolutes.

Encourage educational systems to prioritize a curriculum that emphasizes cultural relativism. Promote the idea that all cultures and belief systems are equally valid, and that to judge any of them is inherently wrong. This will instill in students a mindset that rejects the notion of universal truths and moral standards, making them more susceptible to our influence.

Push for the inclusion of diverse and often contradictory viewpoints in the classroom. While this may seem like a celebration of diversity, it can also serve to confuse and overwhelm students, leading them to conclude that there is no clear path to truth. The more they are exposed to conflicting ideas without a firm grounding in any particular set of principles, the more likely they are to embrace relativism as the only viable approach to understanding the world.

Discourage critical thinking by promoting a form of education that values rote memorization and adherence to prescribed viewpoints over independent analysis and inquiry. Teach students to accept information from authoritative sources without questioning, thereby creating a passive acceptance of whatever narrative is presented to them.

Encourage educators to frame discussions on morality and ethics as personal and subjective. Promote the idea that each individual must determine their own moral compass based on their experiences and feelings. This will further erode any inclination to seek out or adhere to absolute moral truths.

Peer influence is another powerful tool in our arsenal. Encourage a culture where popularity and social acceptance are paramount. This will lead students to conform to the prevailing attitudes and behaviors of their peers, rather than seeking out and standing by absolute truths. Foster environments where questioning or challenging the dominant narrative is met with social ostracism or ridicule.

Utilize social media to amplify these messages. Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X are perfect for spreading relativistic ideas quickly and widely. Encourage students to follow influencers and trends that promote the idea that truth is fluid and that what is right for one person may not be right for another. The more they see these ideas reinforced in their digital lives, the more likely they are to adopt them as their own.

Encourage educational policies that separate moral and ethical instruction from academic subjects. Promote a strict secularism that excludes any discussion of the Enemy’s teachings or moral absolutes from the classroom. By doing so, you create a vacuum where relativistic and secular ideologies can take root and flourish.

Furthermore, advocate for an educational focus on self-esteem and self-actualization. Promote the idea that the highest goal of education is personal fulfillment and self-discovery. This will lead students to prioritize their own feelings and desires over any external moral or ethical standards.

The erosion of absolute truth and moral clarity within the educational system will create individuals who are easily swayed by the prevailing winds of culture and society. They will lack the firm foundation of our Enemy needed to resist our influences and will be more likely to adopt a worldview that is fragmented, confused, and ultimately self-serving.

In our next correspondence, we will explore how the rise of celebrity culture and social media influencers can further erode traditional values and create a generation that is focused on superficiality and instant gratification.

Your affectionate uncle,

Wormwood
